The Blue Light Stair Run is a new annual stair climb event at Broadgate Tower for uniformed emergency services personel.

The 2021 event has been postponed until 16th April 2022 - all existing registrations will be carried over. Registration is open and costs £80 for a team of 2.

You’ll climb 877 steps (35 floors). Broadgate Tower is 541ft!

You’ll register in a pair. Results are based on the 2nd to finish.

You’ll race in your full uniform. Breathing apparatus provided.

The event is chip-timed. Average times are 10mins, fastest is 4!

Awards for services, male, female & mixed gender categories.

You can run again indivually after the teams in regular clothes.


The Blue Light Stair Run is a sporting competition that will competitors to their limits. All frontline emergency services personel can apply, including: ambulance and air ambulance, coastguard, firefighters, police, prison guard and search & rescue. The event raises funds for charities that support emergency services and is organised by the the British Firefighter Challenge and Total Motion Events.

*In order to register you must be frontline operational personnel, wearing National standard issue PPE.



Broadgate Tower is 4 times taller than Tower Bridge! That's about 1.5 times bigger than Big Ben, the London Eye or St Paul’s Cathedral!
